2009 Ireland Mission reunion

Every year for 30 years now we have had a reunion of the missionaries that served in the Ireland Dublin mission from 76-79 under the direction of President Marvin and Sister Kirksel Pugh. They are both 98 (President will be soon and his wife already is) and have been able to bless us with their presence at these events every year. It is always an honor and pleasure to meet with them and my fellow missionaries from that time in my life. I love them all.

Mormonaires Irish Missionaries

When I was on my mission in Ireland in 1977-1979 we had 4 missionaries that performed at the opera house each week for a while. Two of those missionaries, Elders Defreese and Mills, were at the reunion tonight (8/8/09) and at the request of our mission president, Marvin Pugh, they gave us an impromtu song. These guys are good sports about it and just went ahead, after not seeing each other for 30 years, and sang for us.

My littlest ones at Lagoon (our Utah Disneyland)

My littlest, Antoinette and Daniel, were at Lagoon (our Utah Disneyland) with the rest of our family this summer. They rode on a ride I rode on 45 years ago and their siblings rode on…so it was fun memories for all of us. This year my wife calls our trips a ‘Stay-cation’ as we are just hanging out here in Utah enjoying the local activities. It has been fun.

When you go to Kennewick, WA you must treat yourself to the number #1 Slurpee store for 7-11 in the world! The closest store is left in the dust only reaching 60% of the sales for Slurpees these guys get! That is domination…

Everybody wants to have their picture taken with him. It’s really a lot of fun working with these guys. You need to come visit too!

Saying goodbye to Karen’s family in Seattle

When we went to Josh Ward’s funeral we had many good bye’s to say. It was fun seeing family and catching up. Sure would have been nice to be under better circumstances. We will miss Josh and his contributions to our family.

Jacob does the zip line at Uncle Steve’s in Seattle

When we were in Seattle at my nephew’s funeral we took a ride on his and his Dad’s zip line they had set up in the back yard. It is really pretty scary and fun as you get moving fast and have a rather abrupt stop. My family rocks!

Jessi does the zip line!

Jessica is one of my adventurous daughters. She is ready and willing to do the zip line. I got a late start in taping her but got the best part, the abrupt stop. Scary but fun…a rush. My kids rock!
