This is a great quick read. Only like 130 or so pages written in a fable/story format to teach five business/life principals for having a successful fulfilled life. I really liked this little book and would highly recommend it to anybody looking to build a business of any kind.



I am going to review this book again before I head out tomorrow morning with the objective of memorizing the five principles it teaches. Really applicable and meaningful rules to operate by. I hope you go out and read this little book soon and get as much out of it as I did. There is something to be said for simple, easy stories with strong meanings…they are easy to grasp, apply and find value in.

Wow. Another book I could not put down. Where the first book ‘Leadership and Self Deception’ opened my mind and gave it a good premise to start from, this book filled my mind with how to do it. I highly recommend you read them in order although they do stand alone. I got so much out of them reading them this way and believe that most people probably do to…from what I have read.



When the book first started I did not think I would end up giving it this high of a review so you might want to consider that for yourself. An attitude of sticking with it will give you really meaninful rewards I believe.



I want to thank the authors for this well written and thoughtful book. And also I want to thank my wife and children for the lessons I learn from each of them everyday. And lastly to my parents and extended family and friends, thank you for being a part of my life and the many lessons over the too many years you have tried to teach me, even when I have been unwilling to be taught. May I be a better student, may you not give up on me and may we all live better lives of peace within.

The very word, coined a long time ago is definitely worth thinking about. What we think about – we bring about; and, what we FOCUS on expands!

What do you THINK?  If what you THINK is who you become, then, it beckons a thought to begin with the question, What do you really THINK about?  You see we all have a multitude of varying thoughts during each moment we are consciously awake – some are scattered and brief, others may be reoccurring (usually termed ‘WORRY’) however, most are but a fleeting second and many are distracting from your daily grind to achieve your destination goals;  they also come in productive or destructive and usually conflict for your attention in untimely fashion. Paradigms, dreams, wishes, goals, present activities and outside distractions all dictate our many thoughts.  But what do we really Think about?  It is our Thinking that makes us whom we become.  Our thoughts have control over all our activities.  Read, As a Man Thinketh, by James Allen – one of my favourite books also and I too believe it as a must read for everyone.

It is our Thoughts that form our Belief System.  To change our Belief System we must first change our Thinking.  Thus, we must change our THOUGHTS first.  How do we do that?  Put on your thinking c a p, of course!

In order to change our present circumstances we must FIRST CHANGE our Thinking!   Align your THOUGHTS, that are in harmony with what you desire in Life, your ambitions, your wants/ desires and then Put them in WRITING.  Focus daily on your list, keep your attention on what you desire to happen, be conscience of what you are thinking throughout your day and re-focus your thoughts towards the positive results you want to achieve. 

I have given many, this simple way of remembering the manner in which Change happens.  (Write this down and carry it with you.)

• 1. Thoughts, Your Thoughts will fashion your beliefs
• 2. Beliefs, Your Beliefs will cause you to act in certain ways
• 3. Actions, Your Actions will dictate your results.
• 4. Results, Your Life – the way YOU want it!

I read this book in one day…I just couldn’t put it down. An excellent book on how to be a better person and leader. Really set well with my beliefs on building relationships which are the love of others versus love of self. I think I will buy this book for each of my adult children to read. Hopefully they can learn these concepts faster than the 52 years it has taken me!

It is also a MUST read for leaders in business, especially if you are involved in Network Marketing. Really it is a must read for anyone who wants to make quantum leaps in reaching results in attaining their goals.

I love James Allen’s ‘As a Man Thinketh’. It is required reading in our home. This particular edition has 4 of his books. “Above life’s turmoil” was excellent as well. However “Path to Prospertiy” is rather redundant from the first two books but still worthwhile. We will see what “the Way to Peace” is like. I will let you know when I complete it.

Now I probably would have given this 5 stars, just because the book ‘As a Man Thinketh’ alone is well worth the time and resources. It is the book I most often recommend to read. It is short with practically every phrase well thought out and meaningful. The only reason it did not get 5 stars was because of the very poor job the publisher did on the layout of the book, the font and readability because of those factors. I would highly recommend another version of these books. Probably each in seperate editions. I personally have “As a Man Thinketh” as a seperate book and have given many copies away.

This is the first book that my Dad had me read “How to win friends and…”the only one actually. I read it when I was 8 or 9 years old. It is another of the required reading books in our home. I recommend it to all who are just beginning their quest on self improvement and creating better relationships. It is a book that focuses on the mechanics of working with people. Simple ideas that even a nine year old can figure out…

The second book, “How to Stop Worrying…” I bought when i was an LDS missionary in Ireland back in 1977. I found it to be a great book for me as it taught me to focus on the now instead of worrying about things I could not change. I have used the things it taught me throughout my life. I recommend it to everyone as a good beggining book with lots of mechanics on how to do as the title states. This is another book I have my children read as they go through the teen years.

This is a brand new book just released by Robert Kiyosaki. It’s called ‘The Business of the 21st Century”. You can get it at Amazon for $10-15. Great book. You should read it and then get a couple of copies to give to your friends. It is a convincing book about Network Marketing.
