Quality from NSP on Vimeo.

Take this tour of Synergy’s manufacturing facility with Nature’s Sunshine Products. It is the next best thing to being here for the tour yourself. However, it doesn’t come close to what going on the tour live. I invite all of you to come to Utah and tour all of Synergy each month at the open house and especially at the October Summit.

Asham festival and Synergy

Posted by admin On September - 19 - 2010

The Asham Stomperfest is a celebration of the First Nation way of life, music and dance. It was an amazing experience to be with a group of people that see taking care of their bodies as a main priority. Arnold Asham of Asham Curling sponsors this event and as a team member of Synergy has a mission to expose as many people as he can to the miracles of health that Synergy has brought him. Thank you Arnie!

Persuasion Mastery: 500 Practical Lessons In The Psychology Of SalesPersuasion Mastery: 500 Practical Lessons In The Psychology Of Sales by Stephan Thieme

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Great book on the mechanics of selling/persuasion. A little too detailed and long winded. However if you want a bible on the ‘how to’ of selling this book is it. Be prepared to trudge through some parts of it. I am about half way through and don’t know if I will ever finish all of it.

Amazing 13 year old…

Posted by admin On September - 17 - 2010

This young man, Scott Cornelius, of only 13 years is an amazing talent. He was so skilled and talented that you felt it was nothing for him to do this. He performed at the Asham Stomperfest where Arnold Asham one of our team member leaders in Synergy presented the Synergy products to the crowd. Everyone had a blast at this event. I can recommend this festival to everyone!

What Would Napolean Hill Do?

What Would Napoleon Hill Do?What Would Napoleon Hill Do? by Napoleon Hill

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a new must read for my kids and business partners. It reviews all the very best of Napoleon Hill and updates all the material. An excellent success guide.

There are some things that are discussed in it that are not very well understood by the writer…however I am certain were he alive today he would approach the subjects a little differently. But there are other books that better address these weaknesses, like ‘Leadership and Self-Deception’ and “The Anatomy of Peace’.

So go get this book as a long term education program. Do not look at it as just another book but rather a course in having a successful life, espescially in terms of accumulation of wealth. This is not a quick read instead it is a guide on specific activities and processes of making your life have more successful outcomes.

I actually listened to the audio book while I was driving through and back from Canada the last couple of days. I bought the book. It is big at almost 500 pages…but remember this is a course of study over a number of days not a book to be consumed in one big marathon (like I did, which is why I bought the book so I can now use it as a course of study over the next 6 months).

The Go-Giver: A Review

Go GiverGo Giver by Bob Burg

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a great quick read. Only like 130 or so pages written in a fable/story format to teach five business/life principals for having a successful fulfilled life. I really liked this little book and would highly recommend it to anybody looking to build a business of any kind.

I am going to review this book again before I head out tomorrow morning with the objective of memorizing the five principles it teaches. Really applicable and meaningful rules to operate by. I hope you go out and read this little book soon and get as much out of it as I did. There is something to be said for simple, easy stories with strong meanings…they are easy to grasp, apply and find value in.

A special thanks to Tyler Rippy for lending me the book…and to Dan Norman for lending it to him. Thanks guys for a great book with some great lessons.

A Little Christmas by Nelson Little

Posted by admin On September - 8 - 2010

So when I was at the Asham Stomperfest in Reedy Creek, Manitoba, Canada there was this incredibly talented young man Nelson Little. He had just finished writing this song and sang it to us in Arnold Asham’s home in nowhere-ville Canada (translated Reedy Creek). What a beautiful place to have an event with 2,000 of your closest friends. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this song as much I do and vote with you wallet when he releases it…and hopefully he will release it. He is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Thanks for sharing Nelson. We think you rock!

Oh and this song is about his family…the Little’s…his wonderful little children and his wonderful little family all in a wonderful little song.

The Anatomy of Peace – a review

The Anatomy of Peace: Resolving the Heart of Conflict (BK Life)The Anatomy of Peace: Resolving the Heart of Conflict by Arbinger Institute

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow. Another book I could not put down. Where the first book ‘Leadership and Self Deception’ opened my mind and gave it a good premise to start from, this book filled my mind with how to do it. I highly recommend you read them in order although they do stand alone. I got so much out of them reading them this way and believe that most people probably do to…from what I have read.

When the book first started I did not think I would end up giving it this high of a review so you might want to consider that for yourself. An attitude of sticking with it will give you really meaninful rewards I believe.

I want to thank the authors for this well written and thoughtful book. And also I want to thank my wife and children for the lessons I learn from each of them everyday. And lastly to my parents and extended family and friends, thank you for being a part of my life and the many lessons over the too many years you have tried to teach me, even when I have been unwilling to be taught. May I be a better student, may you not give up on me and may we all live better lives of peace within.
